

We are eleven days into 2018. At this point, the new year still holds promise. No matter what your 2017 was like, on January 11th most of us still believe this year will be better.

While attending the wedding of our godson last month (congratulations Carter and Shelley), my wife and I had some time to visit with the officiating pastor who is also a longtime friend.

Each year about this time I start thinking about what I want to do differently in the next year. Key themes usually emerge — eat better, exercise more, learn to play guitar — and I create plans to make forward progress in the new year
